PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. – After recognizing the senior class of 2022, the group combined for five goals in their final regular season home match on Saturday afternoon, leading Trinity to an 8-0 win over Indiana Northwest at Schaaf Athletic Complex.

Selah Hopkins, Briana Uhl, Katie Drenth, and Claire Darby all found the back of the net, along with junior Litzy Corona and Maddie Boogerd.

The Trolls (10-4-4, 9-2-2 CCAC) struck first at the ten-minute mark, with the first of two goals from Hopkins. The senior struck again fifteen minutes later, taking the pass from Grace Wieneke to put Trinity in front 2-0.

Two more goals poured in before the end of the first half, as Uhl scored in the 27th minute, and Corona struck for the first of her two goals in the 36th.

After the halftime break, Trinity posted four more, as Drenth put the Trolls up by five in the 57th minute. Corona struck again in the 68th, and Maddie Boogerd found the back of the net in the 74th. Closing out the match was Darby, who finished out the scoring with a goal in the 84th minute.

Michelle Urribarri recorded her eighth shutout of the year, making one save on the only shot she faced throughout the match.

With the victory the Trolls close out the 2022 regular season, and will host their quarterfinal matchup in the CCAC Tournament next weekend on Saturday, November 5. Game time and opponent will be announced next week.
