BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – An even battle throughout, Trinity would fire 12 shots throughout the match but come up empty, falling to top-seeded Olivet Nazarene in the CCAC Tournament semifinal, 2-0 on Wednesday night.

The Trolls (10-5-4) kept pace with the regular season champs, with just a 13-12 differential in shots taken throughout the match. Trinity managed to get just two attempts on target, however, with Selah Hopkins' strike in the 26th minute, and Demi Scibetta's in the 83rd both stopped by the keeper.

Olivet Nazarene (14-4-1) took an early lead with their first goal of the night coming in the 17th minute, and would lead by a 1-0 margin at the halftime break. The Tigers doubled their advantage in the 78th to put the game out of reach.

The Trolls will now prepare for their NCCAA postseason debut, in the North Central Region tournament. Trinity will host the regional final next week, with a spot in the NCCAA Women's Soccer National Championship on the line.
