PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. – In front of a Fall Fest crowd on Saturday afternoon, Trinity women's soccer picked up a Senior Day win on Senior Day, defeating Holy Cross 2-1.
Seniors Demi Scibetta, Kara Amidon, Olivia Andre, Caroline Nowacki, and Beka Roelofs were recognized before the start of the match, with two of the three seniors in the starting eleven finding the back of the net later in the day.
The Trolls (11-3-2, 7-1-1 CCAC) took advantage of a late penalty called in the 88th minute, converted by Scibetta for her 13th goal of the season. Trinity led throughout most of the first half, as Amidon put the Trolls in front with a goal in the 16th minute.
Holy Cross (4-11-1, 2-7-1 CCAC) responded early in the second half, tying the game in the 50th minute.
