PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. – Trinity Women's Soccer picked up their second straight win on Tuesday afternoon, as Litzy Corona's second-half goal would be enough for the Trolls to earn a 1-0 win over Viterbo at the Schaaf Athletic Complex.
Corona scored her team-leading sixth goal of the season shortly after the halftime break, with Grace Wieneke assisting on the 49th-minute score. The V-Hawks would out-shoot Trinity by a narrow 11-10 margin in a rematch of last season's CCAC Tournament quarterfinal matchup, but Michelle Urribarri's four saves would secure the win and the second consecutive shutout for the Trolls.
The win places Trinity in a tie for second in the early CCAC title race, with the Trolls set to begin a two-match road swing in league play beginning with a trip to Judson on Wednesday, Oct. 9.
