PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. – With their third shutout in the last four matches, Trinity Women's Soccer pushed their unbeaten streak to four, with a 2-0 win over Indiana South Bend at the Schaaf Athletic Complex on Friday.
The Trolls have allowed just one goal over their past four matches, the fewest in a four-match stretch since 2022.
On the other end of the pitch, Trinity's leading scorer Nerea Genc would pick up two more goals in the win, first putting the Trolls on the board in the 27th minute, with Grace Wieneke earning the assist.
Genc then doubled her team's lead in the 59th minute, converting a penalty after the Titans were called for a handball inside the box.
Trinity dominated possession, out-shooting South Bend 23-2, including nine shots on goal.
The Trolls will now prepare for their next match, coming eight days later, when they travel to Judson on Oct. 18. The rematch of last season's NCCAA national championship match is set for a 12:00 p.m. kickoff.
