PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. – Trinity Women's Soccer recognized the senior class of 2025 before the match on Saturday, but on the pitch the Trolls were unable to find an equalizer, falling 2-1 to visiting Olivet Nazarene at the Schaaf Athletic Complex.
The visiting Tigers would score twice in the first half, scoring in the 13th and 28th minutes to take a 2-0 lead. Before the end of the half, the Trolls would draw a penalty, and Nerea Genc slotted away her 10th goal of the season to close the gap in the 33rd minute.
Both sides were held scoreless after the halftime break, as Olivet Nazarene secured their lead down the stretch. Trinity goalkeeper Michelle Urribarri finished with six saves, while Genc led the offense with three shots on goal.
Trinity closes out the regular season next week, when they face Holy Cross on Wednesday, Oct. 29 with a spot in the CCAC Tournament still up for grabs. Kickoff with the Saints is set for 2:00 p.m.
