GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Trinity Christian struck twice in the first half and made it stand, earning a 2-0 road win at Cornerstone (Mich.) on Tuesday night at the CU Soccer Stadium.

The Trolls (2-1-0) opened the scoring in the 8th minute when Nerea Genc netted her fourth career goal, also marking her second career game-winner. Trinity doubled the advantage in the 30th minute as Grace Wieneke tallied her first goal of the season and the ninth of her career, finishing off a pass from Rachelle Pinto.

Both sides finished with 14 shots, but the Trolls put six on frame to the Golden Eagles' five. Goalkeeper Michelle Urribarri came up with five saves to secure the clean sheet.

Trinity will return home on Friday, Aug. 29, when they host Mount Mercy (Iowa) at the Schaaf Athletic Complex. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
