PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill.  – In a match that saw the Trolls earn their fair share of possession, Trinity Women's Soccer were unable to get on the board in a 3-0 loss at home to Saint Xavier on Tuesday afternoon.

Both sides would record eight shots apiece in the match, with the Cougars firing six shots on goal to Trinity's three. The visitors would break through in the 16th minute with their first goal of the day, and take a 1-0 lead into the halftime break.

Saint Xavier then struck twice in a six-minute span, scoring in the 51st and 57th minutes to quickly go up three goals.

Nerea Genc led the Trolls with three shots in the game, and one shot on goal. Goalkeeper Michelle Urribarri made three saves.

The loss snaps a 12-game unbeaten streak against the Cougars, dating back to 2012.

Trinity will look to bounce back this weekend, when they head north to take on Viterbo. Kickoff with the V-Hawks is set for Saturday, Sept. 27 at 3:00 p.m.
