LA CROSSE, Wisc. – An early onslaught caught the Trolls on the back foot, as hosts Viterbo scored three goals in the first ten minutes in a 4-1 loss for the Trolls on Saturday afternoon.
The V-Hawks quickly took the lead with a goal in the 3rd minute, then struck again in the 6th and 10th minutes for a 3-0 score.
In the 16th minute, Trinity would get one back when Nerea Genc converted a penalty for her third goal of the season. Viterbo would strike again before the end of the first half, scoring their fourth goal of the match in the 41st minute.
The Trolls will look to bounce back on Wednesday, when they visit Calumet for a late-morning matchup beginning at 10:00 a.m.
