2020: NAIA National Championship qualifier...NAIA Scholar-Athlete...NCCAA Scholar-Athlete...CCAC All-Academic.

2019:  Ran six 8k races and one 5k race for the Trolls … consistently finished in the top four on the team throughout the season … had his best time of the season at the Purdue University-Northwest Classic with a time of 27:01 to help the team finish in third … also helped the team to a first-place finish at the St. Ambrose Invitational (10/12) … was a NAIA, CCAC and NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.

2018: Competed in the NCCAA National Championships, finishing with a time of 28:36.48 (11/10) … ran his season-best 27:10.8 at the CCAC Championships (11/3).

Previous School:  Attended Highland Community College.

High School: Ran cross country for four years … earned all-conference honors in his senior year … was a team captain … competed in the state meet for three seasons … ran track for four years.

Personal: Majoring in marketing … son of Aaron and Darcy Mathes … has a brother Jacob … worked as a lifeguard in the summer … is a member of Trinity’s track and field team ... is a part of men's ministry.
