Bob Brickman ('03) is in his 21st season as head cross country coach, and 15th as the head coach of the Trinity track & field programs in 2024-25. He has however been involved in the program since its inception in 2000, first as a student-athlete and then as an assistant coach for seven years.

In that time, Brickman has coached student-athletes to a total of 26 NAIA All-American honors in cross country and track & field. In cross country, 35 athletes have qualified for the NAIA Championships under Brickman's tenure, and in 2018 the women's squad finished as the national runners up at the NCCAA Cross Country Championships.

Since taking over the men's and women's track & field program in 2011, the Trolls have earned points seven times at both the NAIA Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Championships. At the NCCAA level, the Trolls have claimed eight individual national titles in men's competition, and 14 women's titles.

As a student-athlete, Brickman was a four-year distance runner for Trinity Track & Field. He served as a team captain and participated in the NCCAA national meets. He earned his bachelor's degree in business at Trinity in 2003.
