Biography

2019: Ran in six 5k races and one 6k race for the Trolls … consistently finished in the top three on the team … had her best time of the season at the Loyola Lakefront Invitational (9/28) with a career-best 20:08.1 to finish in 49th out of 281 runners … was a NAIA, CCAC and NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.

2018: Competed in the NCCAA National Championships, finishing with a time of 21:10.46, which was the fastest time she ran for the season (11/10) … was named a CCAC, NCCAA and NAIA Scholar-Athlete.

2017: Ran a season and career best of 20:20 at the NCCAA National Championships … finished in 43rd place at the NCCAA national meet … took 29th place at the CCAC Championships … was named a CCAC Scholar-Athlete.

2016:  Ran a season best time of 22:28 at the Bethel College Invitational.

High School: Ran cross country for three years … ran track for four years in high school.

Personal: Majoring in elementary and special education … daughter of Scott and Tammy VanLaan … has a brother, TJ, and a sister, Shelby … went on a team mission trip to Costa Rica … is a member of the Athletics Leadership Program for Students … was named to the Athletics Department High Honor Roll … is a member of Trinity’s track and field team.
