The Trinity men's volleyball team had their first conference match of the year as they hosted the St. Ambrose University Fighting Bees. What the Trolls hoped would be a winning night turned into a loss as St. Ambrose swept Trinity.

Freshman Mark Hernandez led the offense for the Trolls, hitting .300 (5 kills, 2 errors, 10 attempts) on the night. Sophomore Adam Becker had the most digs with seven while senior Jon Poortinga grabbed three blocks.

The Trolls will be back in the DeVos Gymnasium again on Thursday, Jan. 30 as they host the Lincoln College Lynx in a non-conference match. The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
