Box Score The Trinity men's volleyball team traveled to Milwaukee, Wisconsin as they took on the Cardinal Stritch Wolves in a CCAC match. Although the Trolls fought to stay in the match, they were unable to secure any of the three sets, ultimately getting swept by the Wolves.
On offense, freshman Bart van der Mark led the team in kills with eight while junior Djordje Novakovic was able to record seven. Freshman Mark Hernandez finished with the best hitting percentage on either team, recording a .444 (5 kills, 1 error, 9 attempts).
Setting up the offense was senior Danny Lawrence, who recorded 26 assists. In the backrow, Novakovic had the most digs with nine while sophomore Adam Becker registered seven. Sophomore Jake Ostema led the front row defense with seven blocks while van der Mark added another six blocks.
The team is now 6-6 overall and 1-3 in conference play. The trolls will be back on the court again on Saturday as they travel to Illinois Institute of Technology for a non-conference game. First serve is scheduled for 10 a.m.
