The Trinity softball team played two more games at the Tucson Invitational Games. After playing Northwestern College and Madonna University, the Trolls went 0-2 on the day.

The first game was against the Northwestern Red Raiders. Northwestern scored the first two runs of the game in the second inning, and from there, they continued to make it grow. The Trolls were unable to score any runs of their own, resulting in a 0-5 loss.

For Trinity, junior Emily Montalvo had the most hits with two. Freshman Gia Cozzi came into pitch three innings, only allowing three hits.

Shortly after the first game, the Trolls were back on the field to take on the Madonna Crusaders, who received votes in the most recent NAIA Coaches' Top 25 poll. All of the runs for both teams were scored in the second and seventh innings. The Crusaders took the early lead, registering nine in the second and 13 in the seventh. The Trolls were only able to come up with two in the second and five in the seventh, resulting in a 7-22 loss.

Recording the most runs for Trinity was sophomore Sydni Mitchell, who had two. Senior Katie Price led the team in RBI's with three. Cozzi also came in as a relief pitcher for the Trolls, only allowing two hits in three innings.

The Trolls now have an overall record of 2-6. They will play their final two games of the Tucson Invitational Games tomorrow as they face Jarvis Christian and University of Mary Washington. The first game is scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m. Mountain time.
