Palos Heights, Ill. - Trinity Christian College men's volleyball (16-10, 7-5 CCAC) defeated Roosevelt University (0-18, 0-11 CCAC) in straight sets on Thursday night to continue their fantastic 2022 campaign.

The Trolls opened the first set with a 17-9 lead and went on an 8-0 run to take the victory in the first set. During that 8-0 run, sophomore Alex Costa had three consecutive kills. It was part of a 12-kill night for him. 

In set two, Roosevlet pushed back. They led 12-11 before the Trolls went on another monster run to take the victory in the second set. Trinity ended the second set on a 14-3 run. 

In the final set of the night the Trolls dominated from start-to-finish. Trinity took a commanding 8-1 lead. Later in the set, senior Adam Becker delivered a service ace and the Trolls led 16-5. With the Trolls in front 24-10, sophomore Mike Hay delivered the knockout blow. His kill gave the Trolls a sweep of the Lakers.

NOTES & NUMBERS: 

• Trying to remember the last time Alex Costa didn't have 10+ kills? You have to go back to Feb. 9 at home against Saint Xavier. He's held an attack percentage of .330 up from his .234 in his freshman season. 
• Hay finished second on the night with seven kills. He did it on a .545 attack percentage.
• Becker posted a 10-dig night for the Trolls defense. The senior libero has over 600 digs for his career.
• Senior Jake Ostema added five blocks on the night. He's at 82 blocks for the season.
