HOLLAND, Mich. – A second-half goal would be the difference on Wednesday evening, as Trinity was held scoreless in a non-conference matchup at Hope (Mich.), falling to the Flying Dutch, 1-0.
The Trolls (10-3-2) had a number of offensive chances, with three shots on goal including a pair from Grace Wieneke in the 14th and 39th minutes. Demi Scibetta had two shots on target early in the second half that were both saved by the Hope goalkeeper, before the home side would score the lone goal of the game in the 62nd minute.
Trinity will look to bounce back as they resume CCAC play on Saturday, October 21. The Trolls will host Holy Cross at the Schaaf Athletic Complex, with kickoff set for 2:30 p.m.
