VALPARAISO, Ind. – Behind a team-high 12 points from Brady Loerop, Trinity played even after the halftime break with the Division I Valparaiso Beacons on Tuesday night, falling in the exhibition matchup 100-61.
Game Leaders
• Brady Loerop led the way with 12 points on 4-of-7 shooting, three rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
• Danny Staskunas finished with nine points, and two assists.
• Johnny Dieck came off the bench to score nine points on 3-of-4 shooting.
• Quinton Hunter finished the night with a team-high six rebounds and six points.
How it Happened
• The Beacons would jump out to a big early lead, opening the game on a 19-4 run over the first 4:16.
• Dieck's three-pointer at the 11:57 mark of the first half cut the deficit to 12 points, 22-10, before Valparaiso closed out the half on a 40-13 run to lead 62-23 at the break.
• After Valparaiso's 8-0 run early in the second half, the Trolls would out-score 36-30 the rest of the way. Trinity scored an 8-0 run highlighted by five points from Hunter and another three-pointer from Dieck midway through the second.
• The Trolls closed the game on a 12-3 run over the final 3:18 to close the gap further.
