CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. – Alex Costa scored a combined 30 kills over six sets on Saturday, as the Trolls competed in a tri-match against a pair of NCAA Division III opponents, sweeping hosts Wabash (Ind.) 3-0 before falling in straight sets to Whittenburg (Ohio).

Costa tallied 14 kills with a .440 attack percentage in the win, then posted 16 kills later in the day against Whittenburg (9-7). Nick Mioni registered a combined 27 assists, while Samuel Kwan finished with 11 digs to lead the Trolls (8-5).

Against Wabash (6-8), Trinity picked up three dominant wins, sweeping the Little Giants 25-15, 25-18, 25-13. In the second match of the day the Trolls dropped all three sets by just two points each: 28-26, 25-23, 25-23.

The Trolls will look to bounce back next week, as they continue a three-game road swing at Edgewood (Wisc.) on Thursday, February 23. First serve is set for 7:00 p.m.
