PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. –Sophomore goalkeeper Michelle Urribarri finished with 14 saves on Thursday evening, and Trinity needed each one of them, as the Trolls battled to a scoreless draw with visiting Clarke (Iowa) at the Schaaf Athletic Complex.
The reigning CCAC Defensive Player of the Week set a new career high in saves on the day, as the Pride (2-0-2) out-shot the home side by a 24-11 margin. Kara Amidon and Demi Scibetta each had a shot on goal for the Trolls (2-0-1), in the first and second halves, respectively, but were unable to find the back of the net.
Trinity's best chance came late, when Scibetta's shot in the 84th minute glanced off the right post, just missing the mark.
As the Trolls remain unbeaten on the early season, the next test comes in a week, when Trinity travels to Brescia (Ky.) on Saturday, September 9.
