OWENSBORO, Ky. - Demi Scibetta led the way with her first career hat trick on Saturday, as the Trolls earned their third win over the first four matches of the season, 6-3 over hosts Brescia (Ky.)

Scibetta finished the way with seven points, opening with an assist on Emily Soriaga's goal in the 9th minute to give the Trolls (3-0-1) the early lead. Soriaga's second goal of the year kick-started a four-goal first half, with Trinity out-shooting the Bearcats (1-3) by a 17-1 margin before the break and 31-8 overall.

Liza Gavalova scored her first goal of the year in the 12th minute to double the Trolls' lead, before Scibetta scored her first two goals in the 17th and 22nd minutes, assisted by Kara Amidon and Nerea Genc, respectively.

Early in the second half Scibetta clinched the hat trick with a goal in the 52nd minute, connecting for the second time with Amidon for the score. Brescia would bounce back in the moments to follow, scoring twice in a six-minute span to cut the Trolls' lead to 5-2.

Amidon extended the lead again with a goal in the 83rd minute, assisted by Soriaga. The Bearcats would sneak one last goal in before the buzzer, scoring in the 90th minute resulting in the 6-3 final score.

The Trolls return home for their next test, when they host No. 7 Aquinas (Mich.) at the Schaaf Athletic Complex. Kickoff with the Saints is set for Wednesday, September 13, beginning at 4:00 p.m.
