PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. – After a deadlocked first half, Demi Scibetta would lead the Trolls to their second CCAC victory of the season, as Trinity women's soccer defeated Indiana Northwest 2-0 at Schaaf Athletic Complex on Tuesday afternoon.

Both teams had good attacking chances in the opening 15 minutes of the match, but the best chance for the Trolls (5-1-1, 2-0 CCAC) was in the 37th minute, when Nerea Genc seemed to head in a free kick from Scibetta, but the play was called for offsides, and the match would remain scoreless going into the halftime break.

Scibetta then broke the tie in the 59th minute, scoring off another free kick opportunity. Less than two minutes later, the junior connected with Kara Amidon and capitalized on a turnover in the IUN defense for the 2-0 lead.

The two goals place Scibetta in the CCAC goal-scoring race with six on the season.

Michelle Urribarri made four saves to earn the victory, while picking up her third clean sheet of the year.

The Trolls return to Schaaf just 48 hours later, as they step outside of conference play to host Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) on Thursday, September 21. Kickoff is set for 4:00 p.m.
