GOSHEN, Ind. – A slow start put the Trolls behind early, as Trinity Women's Basketball dropped their matchup at Goshen (Ind.), 60-45 on Saturday afternoon.
Amena Alexander led the Trolls with 15 points on the day, along with a team-high six rebounds and four steals. Destiny Goodwin scored 11 points with six boards off the bench.
The Maple Leafs would open the game on a 17-2 run, as the Trolls went 3-of-16 from the floor in the first quarter. Goshen would hold the lead the rest of the way, with Trinity out-scoring the home team in the fourth quarter, 17-11.
The Trolls' road trip continues on Tuesday, November 12, when they take on Division I Valparaiso (Ind.) in an exhibition matchup, before returning to DeVos Gymnasium for their home debut against Great Lakes Christian (Mich.) on Wednesday, Nov. 13.
