PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. – Amena Alexander led Trinity with 13 points, but turnovers plagued the Trolls on Saturday afternoon, as the team fell at home to Indiana South Bend, 82-48.
Trinity would hold even midway through the first quarter, with Lorena Arnett hitting a three at the 3:55 mark to even the score at 10-10. The Titans would close the period on a 13-4 run to claim a 23-14 lead at the end of the first.
The visitors would lead the rest of the way, as the Trolls struggled to regain momentum with 35 turnovers on the day, leading to 28 points for Indiana South Bend.
Alexander was one of five Trolls with a team-high six rebounds, while recording three steals. Anastasia Anane finished with ten points and six boards, along with three blocked shots.
The Trolls will look to bounce back on Tuesday, when they travel to Aurora (Ill.). Tipoff in the non-conference matchup is set for 7:00 p.m.
