ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – Junior Brady Loerop and sophomore Alexa Velazquez added their names to the list of Trolls qualified for next month's NCCAA Track & Field National Championships, as Trinity Track & Field competed at the Meet of Champions hosted by Augustana (Ill.), and the Green & White Invite at Wisconsin Lutheran over the weekend.
National Qualifiers
• Loerop was the lone men's qualifier who had not yet earned a trip to the NCCAA Championships this season, with his performance in the Triple Jump. The junior placed 12th overall, clearing a season-best 12.72m (41' 8.75") on his second attempt.
• Velazquez qualified for the NCCAA Championships in the women's shot put, earning a career third-place finish with a throw of 11.06m (36' 3.5").
Event Wins
• Quinton Boyd picked up the only event win for the Trolls at either meet, winning the Hammer Throw at the Green & White Invite. The sophomore cleared 41.63m (136' 7") on his first attempt.
