MILWAUKEE, Wisc. – Four more Trolls hit NCCAA qualifying marks, and over a dozen personal bests were bested as Trinity Track & Field competed at the Green & White Invite, hosted by Wisconsin Lutheran on Thursday.
A pair of throwers earned NCCAA qualification on the men's side, as
Brady Loerop and
Andrew Ardon set personal bests in the Javelin. Loerop cleared 50 meters with a toss of 50.45m (165' 6"), while Ardon recorded a throw at 44.10m (144' 8").
In the distance events, two athletes would hit national qualifying marks in their first appearances in their respective events.
Ari Juarez reached NCCAA qualifying status in her first appearance in the women's 5,000 meters, breaking 20 minutes with a time of 19:42.57. In the women's 3,000 meter steeplechase, freshman
Maite Farin qualified with a time of 12:27.51.
The Trolls picked up two event wins throughout the meet, as
Abigail Hoekzema won the women's high jump, clearing 1.53m (5' 0.25"). Trinity would also win the women's 4x400m relay, their second relay win of the season, as the combination of
Aalyssa Gunn,
Jordyn Fleener,
Angelina Calvillo, and
Alyssa Seinen claimed first with a time of 4:35.86.

Trinity now prepares for the regular season finale, at the Olivet Nazarene Open scheduled for Saturday, April 26.
