NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Junior thrower Paige Stefanek matched a 13-year program record, while the Trolls earned their second relay win of the year as Trinity Track & Field closed out the indoor season at the Chicagoland Intercollegiate Championships at North Central (Ill.) over the weekend.
Stefanek highlighted a number of strong performances from the Trolls, with a third-place result in the women's weight throw. On her final attempt, Stefanek's throw went for 46' 9" (14.25m), clearing her previous best by three-quarters of a meter and matching the program record originally set by Carly Lerner in 2012. The junior also moves to the top of the CCAC performance list in the weight throw.
The team's lone event win of the weekend also came from the women's squad, as the Trolls picked up their first victory in the distance medley relay, in their first appearance in the event. The team of Maite Farin, Ariadna Juarez, Alysia Arias, and Jordyn Fleener posted a time of 13:14.53 to take the top step of the podium.

The Trolls will now prepare for the start of the outdoor track & field season, beginning with the Chicagoland Championships, hosted by Elmhurst (Ill.) on April 4-5.
