ELGIN, Ill. – Senior Maddie Boogerd led Trinity in a second-half comeback, as the Trolls push their unbeaten streak to five straight matches following a 3-1 road win at Judson on Saturday afternoon.
The Trolls would take an early lead in the 8th minute, when Renee Vander Tuig took the assist from Grace Wieneke for her third goal of the season. Judson would respond later in the first half, with a game-tying goal in the 19th minute.
Tied 1-1 at the half, Boogerd would give the Trolls the lead again in the 64th minute, then double the advantage just six minutes later, with help from Melani Arredondo and Hadley Vander Bent who each recorded assists on the play.
Boogerd finishes with her second career brace, matching her previous career high of two goals from a win over Calumet in her freshman season in 2022.
The Trolls will look to continue the momentum next week, when they travel to St. Ambrose on Tuesday. Kickoff with the Fighting Bees is set for
