DAVENPORT, Iowa – A pair of early goals for the home team would be too much to overcome, as Trinity Women's Soccer fell on the road Tuesday night at St. Ambrose, 3-1.
The host Bees would strike early, with the first goal of the match coming in the 10th minute. Another goal would double the lead in the 31st minute, but Madison Ling would get one back before the end of the half, scoring her third goal of the season.
The Trolls worked to gain some opportunities but struggled on offense, as St. Ambrose out-shot Trinity 18-5 throughout the night. The home team would put the match away in the 73rd minute with their third goal of the match.
Trinity will look to bounce back on Saturday, when they host Olivet Nazarene for a Senior Day matchup beginning at 12:00 p.m.
