EAST CHICAGO, Ind. – The Trolls' scoring drought was ended in a big way on Saturday afternoon, as Trinity Men's Soccer poured in a season-high four goals for a shutout win on the road at Indiana Northwest.
David Hernandez put away one goal in each half, starting the scoring with a strike in the 11th minute, assisted from Ismael Aguero. In the closing seconds before the halftime break, Diego Martin would score his first of the season to give the Trolls a 2-0 edge.
In the 66th minute, Hernandez would get his second of the day and 5th of the season, and just three minutes later Aguero would finish off the win with his first goal of the year.
Samuel Negus got the win and the clean sheet in goal, for his first win and shutout at Trinity.
The Trolls return to the Schaaf Athletic Complex next week, when they host St. Francis on Wednesday, Oct. 8. Kickoff with the Saints is set for 3:00 p.m.
