ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. - A tough shooting day would hamper the Trolls, as Trinity Men's Basketball came up short on their second game on two days, falling 87-65 on the road at Rochester Christian (Mich.) Saturday afternoon.
Three Trolls would finish in double figures, led by Garrett Greene's 15 points on 5-10 shooting. Greene nearly recorded a double-double with nine rebounds on the day.
Jaidan Gilzene would collect 12 points off the bench, going 4-for-7 from the floor, and Aiden Cilladi pitched in with 11 points and seven rebounds.
A back-and-forth opening stretch that would see seven lead changes in the first eight minutes of play, the host Warriors would hit a pair of threes to fuel a 9-0 run that led to a 20-15 lead at the 11:33 mark. Buckets from Brandt Martin and Corey George down the stretch would cut the lead to one, but Rochester responded with a 6-0 run to close out the half for a 40-33 lead at the break. In the second half, Rochester would pull away midway through the period to close out the win.
The Trolls will look to bounce back next week, when they open CCAC play with a trip to Holy Cross on Wednesday, Nov. 15. Tipoff with the Saints is set for 6:30 pm CT.
