GILBERT, Ariz. – Tylan Harris and Garrett Greene each scored 15 points to lead the Trolls on Thursday afternoon, but a season-high 20 turnovers were too much for Trinity Men's Basketball to overcome in a 73-62 road loss at Park-Gilbert (Ariz.).
The home team would take an early lead, until buckets from Corey George and Harris would put the Trolls in front for the first time, 11-10 at the 11:52 mark. Less than two minutes later a Harris three-pointer gave the Trolls a two-point edge, their largest of the day. Park-Gilbert would respond with a quick 7-3 run to reclaim the lead, and would grow their lead to double-digits by the end of the first half, 36-26.
In the second half, the Trolls would cut the lead down to five with a three from Danny Staskunas with 11:41 remaining, but that would be as close as they would get as the Buccaneers secured the win.
The Trolls return home after Christmas, when they host St. Mary-of-the-Woods on Wednesday, December 30. Tipoff with the Pomeroys from DeVos Gymnasium is set for 3:00 p.m.
