Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Fast start leads to Trolls home win over RedHawks

PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. – The Trolls would jump out to a big early lead and not look back, as Trinity Basketball earned a win over a reigning CCAC champ for the first time since 2015-16, with an 80-54 win over Indiana Northwest.

Five players finished in double figures for the Trolls, as a balanced attack was led by Garrett Greene's 15 points off the bench. Ognjen Petkovic finished with 14 points, while starters Tylan Harris and Aiden Cilladi scored 13 and 11, respectively. Wandy Munoz contributed 10 points with a game-high five assists on the night.

Trinity would score the first nine points of the game, and hold the visiting Redhawks without a field goal for the first six and a half minutes, taking a 12-3 lead at the 13:27 mark. Cilladi's three-pointer midway through the first half would put the Trolls up double-digits, 18-7. The lead would swell to as much as 22 points on a three from Harris with 3:38 left in the first half, 33-11, and the Trolls would go on to double up the RedHawks, 42-21 at the break.

The Trolls would keep the pressure on in the second half, as Indiana Northwest were unable to climb back into the game, with the deficit staying above 19 points throughout the rest of the game.

The Trolls can keep the momentum rolling this weekend, as they begin a four-game road trip at Judson on Saturday, Dec. 6. Tipoff with the Eagles is set for 1:00 p.m.
