LA CROSSE, Wisc. – Kyla Smith would lead the Trolls with 11 points on Saturday afternoon, but a tough shooting performance and turnovers would lead to a loss on the road, 82-47 at Viterbo.
The host V-Hawks would open the day on a 12-1 run, leading the game start-to-finish. A three-pointer from Amena Alexadner midway through the first quarter would cut the lead to four, 12-8, but that would be as close as Trinity would get as Viterbo pulled away into the halftime break.
Smith was one of two Trolls in double figures, with Alexander contributing ten points off the bench. Desire Berrien pulled down 11 rebounds with seven points on the day.
The Trolls return home next week, as the team hosts Judson on Wednesday, February 5.
