PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. – The Trolls would suffer two late rallies from visitors Calumet on Wednesday, as Trinity fell in both ends of a doubleheader to the Crimson Wave, first in a 8-6, 10-inning affair, and a 9-2 decision in game two.
Calumet 8, Trinity 6 (10 inn.)

The Trolls would strike first, with a three-run first inning highlighted by Kamryn Koontz' two-run double, but Calumet came back in the top of the 3rd with a five-run rally. Trinity would come back late, with two runs in the bottom of the 7th to force extra innings.
The offense would slow in extras, with just one hit for the Trolls in three frames. Calumet would break through with two runs in the top of the 10th to take the opening win.
Koontz finished 3-for-5, with three RBI and a run scored, while Myleigh Halmon finished 2-for-5 at the plate.
Calumet 9, Trinity 2

Calumet posted a run in the top of the 1st, but the Trolls came back in the 4th inning with an RBI single from Alex Hofman, and a sac fly from Peyton Lowden that put Trinity in front, 2-1.
The Crimson Wave then took control in the 7th inning, going off for eight runs on six hits to secure the doubleheader sweep.
The Trolls are set to close out the regular season on Saturday, when they host Judson for a Senior Day doubleheader set to begin at noon.
