Trinity came out strong in the 1st inning, as a single from Hector Mendoza and double from Shane Jones set the table for Taiki Kondo's two-run base hit. Later in the frame, Josh Pilgrim would double to right-center, scoring Kondo and Omar Wright to give the Trolls a 4-0 lead.

Olivet Nazarene would rally back, as the Trinity bats would go cold with just three hits over the next five innings. The Tigers would post three runs on two hits in the top of the 3rd, then take the lead with a four-run rally in the 6th.

Trinity would get a run back in the bottom of the 7th, on Kondo's RBI double, but the Trolls would ultimately fall in the opener, 7-5.

Mendoza finished 3-for-4 at the plate, with two stolen bases, while Kondo was 2-for-4 with three RBI.

After a run for the visitors in the top of the 1st, the Trolls would take the lead in the 2nd inning as back-to-back doubles from Benson Holleman and Pilgrim tied the game to lead off the frame. Courtesy runner Bradley Johnson would later score on a ground out to give Trinity the 2-1 edge.

Olivet Nazarene tied the game again with a run in the top of the 3rd, but would be held to just two hits for the rest of the game. In the bottom of the 5th, the Trolls would break the tie on an RBI single from Jones, then the junior would make it a two-run lead after later scoring on a wild pitch.

Trinity would match their highest-scoring inning of the season in the bottom of the 6th, putting the game away with eight runs on six hits. Jones and Casey Folkerts would both record two-run singles, and four more Trolls would pick up RBI during the rally.

Folkerts would lead the team with three base hits, going 3-for-4 in the win, with two RBI and a run scored. Jones would drive in three RBI while going 2-for-3 with a walk.

Chase Hadley picked up his second win of the season, throwing four innings of shutout relief.

The Trolls will look to build a winning streak on Friday, when they begin a four-game series with a trip to Indiana South Bend. First pitch with the Titans is set for 12pm CDT.
