PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. – Trinity Athletics' fall slate has been finalized, as the Trolls' cross country schedule was released on Thursday.
Trinity men's and women's cross country teams will compete at up to eight meets in the fall, opening with the Fighting Saints Twilight Invite in Channahon, Ill. on August 29. The 5k race will be the shortest of the year for the men's squad, while the women's team will split the season between 5k and 6k distances.
The Trolls then get an early look at the CCAC's championship course on September 19, when they race at the Midwest Classic hosted by Olivet Nazarene at the Aspen Ridge Golf Club. The regular season winds down with three races in October, including the Warrior Invite in West Allis, Wisc. (Oct. 4), the Bethel Pilot Invite in South Bend, Ind. (Oct. 10), and the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge in Grand Rapids, Mich. (Oct. 25).
Championship season kicks off with the CCAC Cross Country Championships on November 8, followed by the NCCAA National Cross Country Championships in Joplin, Mo. on Nov. 14, and the NAIA National Cross Country Championships in Tallahassee, Fla. on Nov. 21.
