ADRIAN, Mich. – Trinity women's volleyball fell in straight sets at Siena Heights on Friday night, dropping a 25-16, 25-21, 25-22 decision inside the SHU Fieldhouse.

The Trolls (0-3) were held to a .113 attack percentage, finishing with 26 kills, 17 errors on 80 swings while posting 24 assists and 35 digs. Trinity did a good job at the net — recording 6.0 team blocks to the hosts' 2.0 — but the home side's serving helped swing momentum to the tune of 12 aces for the Saints.

Raimey Owens led the attack with a match-high nine kills on 18 attempts, and Dej'a Williams added five kills with a team-best 3.0 blocks (1 solo, 2 assists).

The Saints would lead the opening set wire-to-wire, opening the match on a 8-3 run. The Trolls would close the gap to 8-7 with a four-point rally, but would be unable to pull even throughout the rest of the first set.

The middle set featured several ties and lead changes, as Trinity fought its way to a late 19-16 advantage. Siena Heights would answer with a four-point surge to flip the frame and finished the set 25-21.

Trinity jumped out quickly early in game three, building a small cushion behind a couple of quick kills from Sharide Sykes and Sarah Neighbors, but the hosts slowly chipped away and then closed out the match down the stretch, finishing the set 25-22 to complete the sweep.

The Trolls will return to action tomorrow morning, facing Spring Arbor (Mich.) at 9:00 a.m. CT and Lawrence Tech (Mich.) at 11:00 a.m. CT.
