PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. – An early goal put the Trolls in front, but Trinity Women's Soccer were unable to hold off the visiting Saint Francis (Ind.) Cougars on Wednesday afternoon, falling 3-1 at the Schaaf Athletic Complex.

Grace Wieneke put the Trolls in front with her second goal of the season, coming in just the 6th minute on a pass from Nerea Genc. Trinity controlled possession throughout the rest of the first half, out-shooting Saint Francis 6-3 before the break.

The visitors would strike with a flurry of three goals in a six-minute stretch, quickly taking a 3-1 lead. The Cougars would tie the game with a goal in the 55th minute, followed by another in the 59th and the 61st.

Trinity would get some chances late in the game, including a header from Genc and another shot on goal from the junior, but both were saved by the USF keeper.

The Trolls are back in action on Wednesday, Sept. 17, when they open CCAC play at home with St. Francis. Kickoff from the Schaaf is set for 4:00 pm.
