PLYMOUTH, Ind. – Senior Ricardo Serpa led the way with a top-five finish, but as a team the Trolls faced tough competition at the Pretty Lake Intercollegiate, hosted by Bethel (Ind.) at Pretty Lake G.C. on Monday and Tuesday.
Trinity would place 9th in the nine-team field, with scores of 322-316-325 (+99) for the three-round event. Serpa carded two rounds of 73 with a 75 in the second round to finish +5 for the tournament, placing T-5th.
Freshman Tyler Wolterstorff was the team's second finisher, shooting a low round of 74 put finshing +23 overall, good for T-28th.
The Trolls are back in action next week, competing at Whisper Creek G.C. in Huntley, Ill. for the NCCAA North Central Regional on Monday, Sept. 15.
