PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. – The visitors would sneak in an early goal and that would prove the difference, as Trinity suffered their first home loss of the season, 1-0 to Northwestern Ohio.
The only goal of the match would come less than four minutes into the first half, when the Racers would convert a free kick just outside of the penalty area.
The Trolls would get plenty of chances to equalize, firing six shots on goal in the second half and maintaining their fair share of possession throughout the match. Ismael Aguero and Diego Martin each finished with a team-high two shots on goal.
The Trolls will look to bounce back on Tuesday, September 9, when they travel to Indiana Columbus. Kickoff with the Crimson Pride is set for 6:00 pm CT.
