OAKLAND CITY, Ind. -- The Trinity Christian College baseball team was swept by host Oakland City in a doubleheader Saturday (Feb. 21). The Mighty Oaks won the first game 8-0 and the second 8-1.

GAME 1: Oakland City 8, Trinity Christian 0
Trinity Christian started the game with a leadoff walk but was unable to bring the runner home. Oakland City scored three runs in the first inning, one in the second, third and fourth innings, and two in the fifth to take an 8-0 lead.

The Trolls loaded the bases with one out in the second inning but were unable to score. Oakland City secured the 8-0 victory.

GAME 2: Oakland City 8, Trinity Christian 1
Both teams were scoreless through the first two innings. Oakland City broke through with one run in the third inning, two in the fourth, one in the fifth and four in the sixth.

Trinity Christian scored its first run of the day when Hector Mendoza drew a bases-loaded walk, bringing home Taiki Kondo. The Mighty Oaks went on to win 8-1.
