SET BREAKDOWN
SET 1: Olivet Nazarene 27, Trinity Christian 25

Olivet Nazarene jumped out to a 4-2 lead before Sam Cain recorded a kill and a service ace to tie the set at 4-4. Both teams traded points before the Trolls scored four straight, including a pair of kills from Thompson, to take a 10-7 lead.

Cain and Evan Whaley extended the lead to 18-12 with a block assist at the net. Olivet Nazarene responded with a 5-0 run to pull within one.

The Tigers regained the lead and forced set point at 24-22. The Trolls tied the set after a kill from Thompson, but ONU closed it out with back-to-back points.

SET 2: Olivet Nazarene 25, Trinity Christian 22
Olivet Nazarene opened the set on a 7-0 run. Back-to-back kills from Thompson and Cain helped the Trolls respond.

Later, kills from C.J. Lafin and Thompson cut the deficit to 11-9, but that would be as close as Trinity Christian would get. The Trolls attempted a late rally behind a kill from Cain and an ace from Thompson, but the Tigers secured the final point to take a 2-0 match lead.

SET 3: Olivet Nazarene 25, Trinity Christian 18
Olivet Nazarene built an early 9-4 advantage in the third set. Thompson recorded a kill to try to spark the Trolls.

The Tigers followed with a 5-0 run to extend their lead to 14-5. Trinity Christian answered with a kill from Thompson and a service ace from Eddy Serna, but the deficit proved too large.

Olivet Nazarene went on to win the set 25-18 and complete the sweep.
