BOURBONNAIS, Ill. — The Trinity Christian College baseball team struggled to find momentum Tuesday (April 7) as the host Olivet Nazarene Tigers swept a doubleheader. The Tigers took game one 16-3 before completing the sweep with a 9-2 win in game two.

Trinity Christian struck first when
Taiki Kondo drove in
Shane Jones with an RBI groundout, giving the Trolls an early 1-0 lead.
Olivet Nazarene quickly responded, scoring 15 unanswered runs over the next five innings to build a commanding 15-1 advantage.
The Trolls added two runs in the sixth inning. Ty Chaney Jr. brought home Nicholas Donelan with an RBI groundout, and Ethan Collins followed with a sacrifice fly to score Jaden Franckowiak, cutting the deficit to 15-3.
The Tigers added one more run in the bottom of the inning to seal the 16-3 victory.
GAME 2: Olivet Nazarene 9, Trinity Christian 2
Chaney Jr. put Trinity Christian on the board early with an RBI single, scoring
Mario Jiminez for a 1-0 lead.
Once again, Olivet Nazarene answered with a strong offensive stretch, scoring seven consecutive runs to take a 7-1 lead.
The Trolls got one back as Brodie Mayberry drove in Chaney with an RBI single, trimming the deficit to 7-2. However, the Tigers added two more runs in the sixth inning to secure the 9-2 win.
