Tyler Van Elst ’18 enters his sixth season in 2024, as an assistant coach for Trinity soccer.

Van Elst hold a USSF National 'D' coaching license, and currently serves as an assistant coach for Chicago House AC, of the Midwest Premier League. Before coming to Trinity as an assistant, Van Elst served as a coach at various youth soccer camps in Rockford, Michigan for four years. At Trinity, Van Elst also works in the college's admissions office.

As a player at Trinity, Van Elst was on the men’s soccer team for four years, seeing time on the field in all four seasons. He was a captain on the team his senior season, where he played defensive midfielder.Van Elst graduated from Trinity in 2018 with a bachelor's degree in history, and has earned a Master's degree in Sports Administration from Concordia (Ill.). He currently resides in Worth, Ill.
