Virginia McAndrews

Virginia McAndrews is starting her second season as the assistant coach for the Trolls. She brings a wealth of coaching and playing experience to this role.

She holds private pitching and hitting lessons in the DuPage area, and also holds private practices for teams. Along with that, she runs various camps with many of the local park districts in the area. 

As a player, she finished her career at Olivet Nazarene after transferring from Judson. During her time playing in the CCAC as a pitcher, she helped her team to a ninth place finish at NAIA nationals following a conference championship win. She placed in the top five in the nation in various categories with only 23 total runs allowed, 15 earned runs, a .64 conference ERA and a 1.05 overall ERA.

She earned Pitcher of the Year for the CCAC while appearing numerous times on the All-Conference first team. She also earned NAIA All-American honorable mention honors and was named NAIA Player of the Week multiple times.

McAndrews graduated from Olivet Nazarene in 2014 with two bachelor’s degrees, one in economics and finance and the other in business management. She also earned a minor in computer science.

Along with coaching, McAndrews works as a full-time fund compliance and internal auditor for an investment company. She has five siblings and two step-sisters. Currently, she resides in Carol Stream, Ill.
