Trinity Christian College and Director of Athletics Wendy Reid announced on Friday that Alyssa Moore will join the Trolls as head coach of Trinity's women's basketball program.
"I'm thrilled to have Alyssa join our staff here at Trinity," said Reid. "Coach Moore brings valuable experience from the top levels of the sport, as well as a passion developing athletes, spiritually, academically, as well as on the court."
Moore comes to Trinity from Bluefield State (W. Va.), where she served as an assistant coach, responsible for recruiting and development of student-athletes. During the 2022-23 season Moore was a graduate assistant on staff at South Carolina, where she helped to lead the Gamecocks to an undefeated season and appearance in the NCAA Final Four.
During her playing career, Moore was a four-year student-athlete at Wisconsin-Milwaukee where she was part of two WNIT campaigns. Moore is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
"I am honored to be selected as the new head coach of Trinity Women's Basketball," said Moore. "As I embark upon this journey, I'm elated to build upon the foundation as a Troll leading a group of tremendous student-athletes with Christian values and beliefs; developing these young women both on and off the court is my priority. I am appreciative and thankful to the Trinity administration for entrusting and hiring me in this role. It brings me great joy to return to the Chicagoland area to recruit midwestern talent who will contribute by putting in work academically and athletically. We look forward to a successful 2024-2025 season!"
