High School: Played baseball at Sussex Hamilton …  received All-Conference, All-District and All-State recognition in baseball … named the Male Athlete of the Year ... also was a member of the football team, where he was named second team All-Conference.

Personal: Majoring in accounting and finance … son of Chris and Heather Slaats … has two sisters, Kaitlyn and Kiley.
