Box Score The Trinity baseball team played their first conference game today as they hosted the Judson University Eagles. After nine innings of baseball, the Trolls came out victorious.
From the first inning, the Trolls took control of the game, scoring three runs from junior Will Kulcher, redshirt sophomore Brent Norkus, who pinch ran for Josh Caceres, and freshman Michael Moralez. The Eagles were unable to keep up with the Trolls as Trinity won the game 8-4.
Kulcher recorded three runs while Norkus and Moralez scored two. Senior Sam Herzog also added a run of his own. Caceres and freshman Tyler Petersen also contributed two RBI's each. Redshirt junior Jordan Petty pitched the first six innings for the Trolls, striking out eight batters in that time.
The Trolls now have an overall record of 8-9 and a conference record of 1-0. They will be back in action again on Friday, March 13 as they play the Calumet College of St. Joseph Crimson Wave. The game is currently scheduled for 4 p.m.
