Box Score PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. – As the final seconds ticked off the clock, it appeared as if the Trinity Christian College women's soccer team was going to end in a draw with longtime rival Olivet Nazarene University (Ill.) to open the 2020 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) season on Tuesday, Feb. 23. But, with three seconds remaining, Brianna Uhl notched the golden goal that sent the Trolls into a celebration as they picked up a 2-1 victory.
The Tigers took the lead near the eight minute mark in the opening half, taking a 1-0 lead into the break. Trinity made some key adjustments at the half, coming out with a new offensive fire. After being outshot in the first half 5-to-2, Trinity pick up the offensive attack and outshot the Tigers 10-to-3 in the second half. Katie Drenth recorded her first career goal in the 73rd minute to knot the score and ultimately send the match into overtime. Brianna Uhl recovered her own shot attempt infront of the net, readjusted and connected for the game-winning goal just before time ran out in the second overtime period to secure the win for Trinity.
